About the
St. George Civic Association

St. George is an old and growing community on the north shore of Staten Island, a borough of New York City, containing a Historic District of 19th-century houses as well as modern dwellings, condominiums, co-ops, apartment buildings, and public housing.

The St. George Civic Association promotes activities, including social events, that benefit all St. George residents. It provides a forum for handling issues or problems that arise in our community, including land use, especially exploitative development, social services using St. George beyond the needs of the local population, transportation issues, including the Staten Island ferry and the St. George and Whitehall terminals, which affect all Staten Island residents, and a variety of public safety issues.

Our interenet discussion group for its members, a group of concerned residents and friends of St. George. If you are a resident of St. George and would like to join the SGCA and this discussion group, you can use the membership form to join the SGCA, or attend a meeting and join there. Please remit membership dues and any contributions only to our P.O. box or to SGCA Board members.
